Assume you are faced with the following scenario during a penetration testing assignment: Your client gave you only one IP address as a starting point and you were able to identify a serious vulnerability in its web service. But your goal is to access their internal web server, which is not accessible from external systems at all. The firewall blocks any incoming connections, except traffic to port 80 and port 443 of the IP address you received. So, what's next? How can you access their internal servers? Maybe over the first one?

This movie demonstrates how port redirection can be used to access systems that are not directly accessible. In the demonstration setup, we use two systems with vulnerabilities in them. We then show you step by step how to proceed to gain access to the internal system, using the first system as a jump board.
