By demonstrating how the bad guys exploit vulnerabilities in Mac systems, our goal is to raise user awareness and to show which countermeasures are useful and under what circumstances.

"I do not have any services running on my system which are accessible from remote - so there is no need to activate the firewall."


Facts:
In this part, we demonstrate how attackers can exploit weaknesses in software components that are installed on any Mac OS X to gain control of the system and most of its data. We will further explain why it makes sence to activate the firewall, even if no service is turned on by default.
