Most exploit codes on the Internet are far from being reliable and work for
specific systems only. While this might be good enough to proof that a certain
vulnerability is indeed exploitable, it is not sufficient from a penetration
testers point of view.

The first module of this series teached how to write an exploit code for a real world
application. This part now explains in detail what is needed to improve the reliability
in such a way that the exploit works against any operating system the vulnerable application
is running on.

What you will learn:

- The limitations in most exploit codes
- How to improve their reliability

Target audience:

Penetration testers, ethical hackers, system security engineers.

Requirements:

- A solid understanding of exploitation techniques as teached in our module
"Exploiting Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities on Windows Systems"
- Studying the module "Writing Reliable Exploits - Part I" first is highly recommended
- Understanding C and assembly would be a bonus, but is not required
